What do I need to open a private mailbox?

  • You will need to fill out and sign an application for Delivery of Mail Through Agent (USPS Form 1583). This allows us to receive your mail, as well as sign for any necessary parcels on your behalf. This can be done at our store, or via email if you are unable to be in person.
  • You will also need two forms of acceptable ID. (see below)

What counts as an acceptable form of I.D.?

At least one of the IDs you supply must include your photo, and at least one must show an address that matches the address listed on your Form 1583. Credit Cards, Birth Certificates, Social Security Cards, and Debit/Credit Cards are not acceptable forms of ID. This is to make sure that your personal information remains safe and secure. Below is a list of Acceptable ID's per Postal Regulations. If you do not have one of these ID's we unfortunately cannot open a mailbox for you.

Acceptable 1st ID: (must have a photo on ID):

  • U.S. State/Territory/Tribal Drivers or Non Drivers ID Card
  • Passport
  • U.S. Access Card
  • Uniformed Service ID
  • U.S. Permanent Resident Card
  • U.S. University ID Card
  • Certificate of Naturalization
  • NEXUS Card / Matricula Consular

  • U.S. State/Territory/Tribal Drivers or Non Drivers ID Card (if not used for 1st ID)
  • Current Lease
  • Home/Vehicle Insurance Policy Statement
  • Mortgage or Deed of Trust
  • Voter Card
  • Vehicle Registration Card

Can I set up a private mailbox remotely?

 While we would prefer to open a mailbox in person, we can open a box for you via email. We would send you an email of instructions. One of the forms required would have to be notarized. 

How much does it cost to open a mailbox?

  • Our Mailbox rentals are very unique! We are only $14 a month with a three (3) month minimum term and a one (1) time $15 set up fee. A total of $57 if doing three (3) months. You do have the choice to renew your box at three, six, nine, or twelve months at a time. No matter how little or much mail/packages you get, everyone pays the same monthly fee (unless you are a business). Business boxes are $16 a month.
  • We are allowed per Postal Regulations to accept a Spouse, children under 18, and One (1) business on a box. If you are not legally married it is an additional charge of $5 a person. If you do not add your business to your box at the time of opening it is an additional charge of $5 per business added. 
  • If we receive mail in an unauthorized name we will give the first letter as a warning, but then will either need to add them to the box and or it will get returned to sender. 

What will my mailing address look like?

You will have a street address formatted like this:
Your Name/Business Name
1051 NE 6th Street, STE 1C PMB #[Your Box Number]

Can I receive packages addressed to my box?

Absolutely! We accept packages that come by the Post Office, FedEx, UPS, and other regional shippers like DHL, On Trac, etc. Once your mailbox is opened we will be able to sign for your packages and store them safely.

Can you forward my mail while I'm out of town, on vacation, or moving?

Yes! We are happy to forward mail to our boxholders. We only ask that you pay for the postage to the destination we are mailing to, and a $2.50 forwarding fee. Our forwarded mail always includes tracking, and we can email you a copy of the receipt with your tracking number on it so you can follow your mail's progress as it gets to you.

Is there 24/7 access? How can I check my mail?

No. Mail is only available during business hours. 

Can I have multiple keys to my mailbox?

What key?? Remember how we said we are unique? Well we dont have the typical lock n' key system like the rest of the world. BUT... we do have staff members that are the actual KEY to your mailbox. (must see in person to understand) :) You just come in and say im box # xxx and one of our staff members will grab your mail and packages. Sometimes we will have your mail before you even get out of your car.

What happens when I need to close my mailbox?

  • Closing your mailbox is hassle-free! We'd prefer that you come in to close your box, so you can pick up any mail, but if that's not convenient, you may let us know you're closing via in-person, phone or email and we can forward any mail you might have received.
  • After closing, we'll hold on to any first-class mail we receive for you for the next month while you get everything changed to your new address. Give us a call if you think we might have gotten something by accident and we can forward it to you. After that month (30 days from the closing date), any mail we receive will be returned to its sender. If for some reason we get say a DMV, Check and or any other important like letter we will give you a call or email. Sometimes depending on the amount of mail your currently receive it may take three or more months to get your mail redirected. Remember you cannot do a Change of Address form from a CMRA.
